We are planning a small refurb to our pretty Shepherd’s Hut (on the advice of an expert in marketing these types of accommodation) which hopefully will enhance the comfort and well being of guests staying.
By removing the flip up bed, currently accessed from both sides with seating underneath (but which no one flipped up!) and building a new one at right angles against the far end, this will create more floor space for 2 easy chairs, provide storage under the bed for luggage and wall space above the bed for shelving and/or pictures. My son Matt, a master of all things wood, has promised to build this bed. No pressure Matt!
With little additions such as a fire pit, we hope to entice lots of guests this summer.
